Ana y los lobos
I never liked Carlos Saura, with the exception of hunting, intense than most. Consider his films a little more than continuous solipsistic exercises where symbology abuse cheapest canceling any hint of narrative filmmaking. Ana y los lobos is no different, pretentious film that aims to go further, be bigger than life, but that is half way through the evidence of their proposal, which is nothing to analyze the decadent Spain of the already if decadent dictatorship. Prototypical characters too much as long as we stay with a sector of the English population, surrealism too forced and a waste all that interesting a topic such as masks and identities constructed in the face of society. The brother of a girl wearing a failed really pathetic wannabe masquerading as something it is not, the other brother, a couple do not want (Who knows if she married a penalty?) and played by Fernan Gomez as the classic that want to see what is different and battle roots when it ceases to be another loser dissatisfied with his life. I think he could have got more juice out of his idea less pretentious and yes again, to call it in some way, conventional. Saura should see some of the Cronenberg film and learn what it is to show both sides of a person. Nor I never believed in the disruption it causes in their lives the character of Anna, I've never swallowed a breath of fresh air that is neither that all rely so much on it, and the fascination it provokes. There is no reason for it beyond wanting to symbolize the pseudoaperturismo of Franco in his last years and the shock was at the entrance of "modernity." I am very classical and I like that the characters are well shaped, and then go B of A, and all respond to an order. I get bad this kind of films where, under the guise of postmodernism or what not, unreasonably abused or irrational actions of a script without rhyme or reason beyond that which its creator has in mind. Yes, the movie has sent me constantly feeling of disgust felt by the protagonist, is perhaps the only aspect that I can say I was convinced.
In addition, a staging corrientita, saved by the photo (as usual in his films) and assembly, and good performances, though the latter, with Geraldine Chaplin and Fernan Gomez is the bare minimum. Highlights: piece of traveling to the face of Fernando Fernan Gomez when he sees for the first time Ana Brutal seventies cinema lesson. Of course, as Saura, it's indie films.

Top 5: The best moments 2009
If hanging a few days ago here (with his usual success) the 5 worst moments I've spent this year watching a movie, I think it's time to enjoy plays and stay the best times we've had the opportunity to see during the past year. I had to make a screen, because if it has not been a great year, yes we had some details to remember. Of course, one has pevalecido above all: when images stopped appearing at the end of Terminator Salvation.
5 - Nixon is known defeat. Frost / Nixon has been one of my weaknesses in this past 2009. Went almost unnoticed, and after the fiasco that resulted Benjamin Button (unthinkable that I liked this movie too much of my beloved Fincher), the more I was surprised that my favorite movie of the last Oscars were led by my nemesis, Ron Howard. I did not expect too good, but as the story progressed more and more hooked me. Why? Quite simply because the nth power study written by Peter Morgan was just brilliant and we deconstructed a key moment in the history of journalism and, more particularly, in American history. The magnetic interpretation Langella, who has the character to the absolute limits, get even empathize with this Nixon almost charismatic, and we feel sorry for how David Frost is appalled at his response. But this gets cut short: "And the American people?. And we provide what is, in my point of view, the level of the year, achieved a detail thanks to the wonderful interpretation of an actor and Ron Howard got the hoof. The pride of the dethroned king, the humiliation of being defeated Goliath by David. All thanks to a purely television: reductionism in the foreground. Nixon definitely and finally answered: they failed.
4 - Hans Landa appears by Leonine. With Tarantino Death Proof hit bottom. He made a bad movie, unbearable, boring, egocentric, pretentious. A joke made for him and his friend, Robert Rodriguez's disastrous simply unbearable to be the worst film of 2007 with an absolute difference (although it goes around Inland Empire ). In Inglourious Basterds has become the best Tarantino, that of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, if not that irregular able to give us priceless moments and other annoying do and boring where you go overboard with the verbiage. Cinephile and excessive, the plagiarist's most talented modern film introduces us to his iconic character in a way reminiscent of Lee Van Cleef and his ghostly apparition in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly . Since this time, Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz a recital) takes over the movie, and this is his best and worst part: it is so good that when he appears not take off the look, but it's so good it makes the whole (except for Melanie Laurent to discover, and magnificent tribute to the Duel in the Sun ) will suffer every time does not appear, especially with those bastards disappointing that promise more than they give.
3 - Joseph Gordon Levitt love dancing. 500 Days of Summer is one of the most enjoyable films of the year. Its protagonist Joseph Gordon Levitt is in love with Zooey Deschanel (as not ...). Zooey Deschanel is in love with our protagonist Joseph Gordon Levitt. And about this whole story is built, depart just moments anthology (The protagonist's sister, Chloe Moretz, who plays Hit Girl Kick-Ass, is a discovery), a relationship that is relationship between two characters that you end up falling in love, you connect with them and spend well when they have a good time and fuck you when they are screwed. This is what is called a well-constructed film. Of course, to see it must have bf / gf or been in love sometime to understand that you feel that tingling at the thought of that person or the feeling of walking down the street with my head high thinking about that person and wanting to scream " I'M IN LOVE. " 500 Days of Summer spoken of as few, and update the myth of Singing rain puts his protagonist to sing and dance in a magical cartoon choreography with flair in the middle of the street while going to work to celebrate finally has sex with her. Actually when you are in love and go down the street everything seems wonderful, it seems that people greet you and you can not stop saying. So 500 days of Summer.
2 - The end of the dream of Wheeler. If 500 days of Summer is the most enjoyable movie of the year, Revolutionary Road is at the other end. A film hard, intense, terrible as few. If Mendes and revolutionized the movie blowing up the foundations of American society in that most classic masterpiece called American Beauty, takes a point here beyond increasing hardness and badness. While Spacey's character celebrated his mediocrity away from everything and be free from bondage, Frank Wheeler decides to accept mediocrity for sinking money and the dream of his wife. When everything looked like it would better, when Mendes begins to give a respite to all the characters and they seem to see light at the end of the tunnel, everything undergoes a 180 º. As in American Beauty , like Road to Perdition , as in the irregular Jarhead . Pregnancy, and a cowardly decision by Frank. And after a truly macabre preparations (while April brings warm water inevitably came to mind a glass of milk suspect) comes the tragedy. Mendes uncovers brutal sensibility and everything takes the tone of a poem nasty and deadly, a small overview of a few feet, a dolly out creepy. And, if Revolutionary Road has much in common with his debut in recounting the misadventures of a family called a model, its end is modeled on that of his gangster epic. Tom Hanks / Kate Winslet looking through the glass unreal that happiness can never reach peace on the horizon. In the mirror is the reflection of death. One nemesis with the disfigured face of Jude Law, the other really hard and overwhelming.
1 - A Life in 4 minutes. Up that is the best movie of the year is for me an axiom (even dogs). Undeniably, the point of maturity that has reached the Pixar projects to make today be the real dream factory, the one that ended when Hollywood began to be sold at electronics companies, television, and others. There are many adjectives to Up , but to be blunt, I'd pick that is magical. Barely 5 minutes of film and tears and out of my eyes. Those first five minutes contain more movies that the entire careers of many so-called teachers. Narrative ability, the brilliant economy of language, the prodigious use of ellipses ... There are great moments in this animated film, moments of pure detail with small gestures, words, that make it the animated film that John Ford would have signed if they continue to live (there are details taken directly from The Grapes of Wrath , a reference bit childish). But those first 5 minutes is a lesson in cinematic mastery. A film about dissent and courage, values \u200b\u200bincreasingly lost. And a message that I need to learn: dreams, if you struggle, are met.
And some that left me in the ink:
- The death of Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino
- The amount owed to rate Dylan
Watchmen - Appearance Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen
- The new world in the eyes of Coraline
- Dickens in India: the blind child recognizes Slumdog Millionaire protagonist
- Melanie Laurent ready for revenge are Bowie
Inglourious Basterds - Malamadre appears, as the great evil of classic cinema in Cell 211
- Januray Jones appears on ship as it sounds Elenore, The Turtles, in The Boat That Rocked
- A visit to Mike Tyson and Bradley Cooper with the tiger in Hangover
- District 9 , period.
- Bill Murray stands as a zombie in Zombieland
- Jason Segel (love) and Paul Rudd play Tom Sawyer, Rush, on the somewhat simplistic I love you, Uncle Wear

Top 5: The worst moments of 2009
time doing my list with the best of the past 2009 (yes, in February 2010, I'm that cool) and I thought banging this list with the worst rankings in the past year at film, scenes indents or moments that are simply embarrassing:
- 5: Bye bye, blackbird. Public Enemies has been the biggest disappointment of 2009. I expected a rabid film, angry with life that often has the genius of Michael Mann film. And the Jinn, Michael Mann gives or lime or sand. And Public Enemy not work out. Photo fairly irregular (coming from Dante Spinotti, who scored n before and after with Heat ), a rather simple-minded script, poor performances and direction Mann improper soda, which does not understand or Dillinger fascination in the viewer nor should raise their girlfriend to make him lose his temper. Is irregular, with scenes of high caliber (the appearance of Melvin Purvis is worthy of the best westerns) and some rather bland (less claw shootings of his long career), but ends in the most horrendous and cheesy as possible, apart from unnecessary. After his death, the policeman played by Stephen Lang will see Marion Cotillard's character and says the last words Dillinger dying. Pasteleo unnecessary and further lower the level of the tape.
- 4: The Watchmen powder. The adaptation of Alan Moore's magnum opus carried out by Zack Snyder has gone unnoticed by the screens, I think due to the limited capacity of the public to cope with nearly 3 hours without action. I think, without being at the level of the novel was adapted more than remarkable, but that has more than enough moments of pure visual pleasure from the slow motion for the good of Zack. This is one of them. After understanding the reason for his impotence, the need to be a hero (Like a drug, dammit), Nite Owl is celebrating sticking a roll (finally) with Silk Spectre on the floor of Archie, his ship. The problem comes when Snyder wants to give a touch ironic use the Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. View Malin Akerman's ass bouncing back and this song gives everything a touch too embarrassing and kitsch.
- 3: The bizarre alien dust Avatar . In the epic epic and messianic (Ha!) Cameron's all very original. There is nothing worthwhile beyond visual effects look amazing. And it is, along with Public Enemy , the great bluff of the year. Not only because story is not original, that every day matters less in the film, but because everything is too much notice of towels. The characters are robots with no soul, and the relationship between Jake and Neitiry Sully comes to resemble that of suspiciously Twilight (we are from two different worlds, you're a boy different from the rest and do not accept you into my world with magic duentes Indians like too ...) and the Disney treatment in all of history is really embarrassing. Those looks breeds that have the same sexual tension that Hannah Montana, these misunderstandings and friction with the same evil mistimed a Jonas Brothers concert, culminating in a ridiculous and supercoreografiado powder among trees with lights, that seems to lead to Pocahontas to The Lion King ("the night of love ...") and suspiciously (and this I think was the one who was surprised at all the movies, because I yell at through the projection), after an ellipsis pseudopoética to Excalibur, the brilliant adaptation of the Arthurian myth of Boorman, because when both are raised are exactly the same position and stuck to the same environment in which King Arthur catches Geneva with Lancelot. Cameron, cheesy and plagiarist.
- 2: stay with the alleged sexual tension of the scene in the rain in Terminator Salvation. This film should be put in schools film, is perfect for learning to make movies: they never do as here. Beginner failures in all aspects, no single one is saved from special effects to the script, going through a ridiculous address (introduces the characters, PIECE OF USELESS!) That crowns this nonsense of $ 200 million. Probably within expectations could generate the greatest stupidity of 2009 is for the adventures of John Connor uncharismatic. The scene to which I refer is that in the days before, was touted as an erotic piece magnetic. When you see it's hard not to laugh. We plant with the protagonist, Sam Worthington handle, and guapita of the film, such a Moon Bloodgood (what a name, parents hippies sure), that have fewer chemicals that Arafat and Sharon, in a scene where, suddenly, in a post-apocalyptic world arid ( dry as a nun's funny as they say in Australia) starts to rain (yes, the fire is not quenched) and she irrelevantly, while Sam finds the good around absorbed in his world starts to get goofy and I still wonder why, he removes his shirt and begins to look at him in a lascivious plan "I'm here, ropes, it entirely pa ti" while the good cyborg it happens fairly funny. And I wonder, as an amateur writer, why is it that keeps sexual tension should be between two people? Why is not he who looks at her while pulling off surprises behind the shirt, instead of staying absotro looking car chassis traps? More importantly, why she removes his shirt and bra in the middle of a rain of three pairs of balls? In the end, of course, he ends up looking, but most expensive "walk daughter, dress you'll catch pneumonia" that a builder during business hours.

- 1: Bruno him to suck the ghost of one of Milly Vanilly. Bruno is a bad movie, talk to whites, only contains a few funny points (in fact, really funny), but the rest of the film constantly skirts bad taste and at certain times it reaches. Eschatology cheap, boorish humor as could be, points that come to be offensive so obvious and stupid they are, and having their summit here, in their eagerness to become famous, Bruno goes to see a medium and this gives the opportunity to speak with one of Milly Vanilly, former lover of the reporter. The result, the most grotesque and disgraceful scene I have seen just this year. If Baron Cohen wants to be eschatological, as English is, it should look a few times Little Britain , you would get much more juice to their ideas. (Sorry for the quality you get lost ... but not much)

Rubbermaid Cooler Drain Plug Replacement
bat Man: Part II
about three years ago when it opened in theaters Batman Begins, it seemed that the only superhero server that has been of interest ever return to the path of the track. It seemed a new movie, no connection with previous installments of the legendary character of Bob Kane, and although he was not under my own point of view, at the height of the two very great and aesthetic Tim Burton films, Batman and very underrated Batman Returns, if the character who managed to soar. Stripping the superhero more human, and therefore more interesting, par excellence, of all affectation, colorful aesthetic and stratospheric proportions nipples placed the terrible Joel Schumacher in his attempt to return to the pop of Adam West Batman, Nolan, interesting creator of atmospheres (I still wonder why they waited to have the freedom agenda to lead highway) but somewhat irregular on the top of his films, was able to place the tape in a more conventional visual level without It lost none of its dramatic force and beauty to focus more on the main character, his birth and his iconic creation, although it is true that when all else failed, ironically, Batman appeared on the scene. Mattered more sequences of Bruce Wayne, his inner journey in Asia and his personal struggle against his inner demons that the struggle against crime and against, why not, some enemies really poor, from gangsters to a Scarecrow without sufficient substance to stand up to a whole Batman masterfully played by Christian Bale, in addition to the guest appearance of Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul, with whom the work would have gained more power the dark appearance being so lackluster end result. It also served to mark what would become the great obsession of Nolan for the new Batman, the engine of this new saga: each is the accumulation of acts performed, what we do is what shapes us and leads us to be who we are and moving all around us, especially someone as important and influential as Bruce Wayne, a playboy with an alter ego that prevented him from leading a normal life. The Dark Knight corrects and enhances all benefits Batman Begins, in line with its predecessor sober and away from any theatrical or exaggerated staging as were his four predecessors, no trace of comics, we're not a movie where the bullets have no presence, since we are not a superhero with a code of ethics and moral puritanism and marked by the law do the right thing, but it we enter the mask and armor and explores the soul of bearing the symbol of the bat, and, like this, we study his nemesis, his arch nemesis, and arranging the large tare of its predecessor with the appearance of charismatic villain, thanks to the great Ledger's interpretation becomes one of the greatest villains in film history and stands as an equal with the bat man, who spends more here time trying to find himself and those around you and see the world in which they live and how this, that fighting against evil. It is therefore to find strengths and successes where others, like Sam Raimi, failed miserably, thanks to the courage of a Nolan can retire having reached its limit, his work peak, succeeding to be a perfect character study beyond be governed by mere chance and do what, according to social conventions are obliged to do, a masked crusader who doubt and fear what they do, that seeks to understand the reason for their actions and that is closer to the Dix Handley, Harry Callahan, Michael Corleone, Dave Bannion, Tom Stall Hannah Vincent and the Spiderman, Superman or Hulk three fourth, minor superheroes made solely to make the doll or video game of the day, putting the proposal closest to Nolan film Fincher , Fritz Lang, John Huston, Michael Mann, the post-Spider David Cronenberg, Coppola and Clint Eastwood that classic work and empty popping superhero movies, the young filmmaker PhD English as one of the greats of contemporary cinema and who knows if historical, but all that time will tell.
The choice of Nolan and David S. Goyer to divert tone of the film purely mainstream comic book genres to bring it more classic black, the police or the thriller is far from any doubt, the novelty and success and what separates it from the same starting point, any apparently their generic competitors. Within the deep and serious tone that takes the entire tape, the perfect combination of form and substance in the story based on the portentous script, which has only a few minor faults, it establishes a mature view of a character long ago left the fight for no reason and looking for an identity beyond the character, putting the person, and end up providing a visceral drama along the lines of any Greek tragedy, because the director does not flinch and never made a film of Nolan more than a comic book adaptation, imposing his style to the study, leaving him in the highest place possible. It is perfectly recognizable in writing, with a libretto by British director's taste. This constant game of twists and turns, these traps the viewer, making pinpoint building almost a mathematical equation, the amazing ability to stretch and again the invention without losing fluid or force, looping the loop to unexpected heights, and that taste for the thriller and the classic film noir characters disturbed situation in which the thin line that separates right from wrong is quite diffuse, and, unlike the recent unsuccessful The Prestige, Nolan is right here in each and every one of those brutal totally radical changes, and, Better yet, does not fail in the end, perfect and consistent with everything that has gone before, and crimp showing prodigiously with his speech about the duality of man. Beyond tracing the structure of the first delivery, which would have been quite likely in the hands of another, here we decide to start the story in the best way possible, presenting the first villain to change without notice, leaving clear what que va a ser todo lo que se avecina por delante: guerra sin cuartel y sin respiro a Batman y al espectador. Because the other great success is the writers is the perfect spider web that has been made to conform to the secondary characters come into the plot without being outside any time, from Rachel (thanks for making a decent character, Maggie Gyllenhaall after Cruise Lady necessary) Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman great), but where importance is the superb Harvey Dent played by an amazing Aaron Eckhart, whose introduction into the story seemed suspicious and difficult to justify but which ultimately gives rise to two triangles melodramatic about which turns the plot: Joker-Batman-Two Face, Dent, Bruce Wayne, Rachel, perhaps the essential contribution to deepen even more in the personality of the protagonist and his billionaire mixture of envy and admiration for the prosecutor who represents all it seems, the defense of right from the legality and respect and love that Batman never get people, and, with the appearance of Two-Face, shows what could become a defender of law that he will hand its work, creating another link between the superhero and a new character, shows the simultaneous game that we all have within us between good and evil, which would place him in the middle of the nefarious Joker personified evil beyond all reason, and Harvey's good, perhaps idealistic utopian goodness that checks how you can not defeat evil without a shred of malice within. This point is most interesting, Wayne exceeds anything within the legal limit and your task is challenged not only by people who begin to see him as a danger because of threats from the Joker, if not himself, and the young Wayne appearing at the beginning of Batman Begins is here someone who has assumed his role is not correct hero, if not the shield against the evils of society, wherever they come from and who begins to envision that the decisions made in the past have their reaction the present and it is impossible to change.
Although it may sound somewhat grandiose tape, The Dark Knight is never pretentious in its attempt to devise something philosophical and, at the same time, remove the hero away from any topic. The protagonist sees his idea of \u200b\u200bdefending good against evil comes just as the Joker acts of hostility. The death of their parents and the insecurity felt in Gotham made you want to be what it is today, and all that it has done in his life. The tipping point between choosing life or hero is determined, and Wayne throws away his life, down to the deepest abyss in the solitude of the antihero. And the shadow of the Joker is too long, and its influence on the young millionaire will not wait. Realistically achieve Ledger crazy, exasperated, a character who, as he says, is a mad dog, alienation personified, uncontrolled, chaos, and one wonders if the Australian actor's character was not too far and became part of himself and, unfortunately, this led him to what he took, although it is true that the building frenzy has led to film immortality, even more than Nolan or Bale. Its disturbing role overshadows the entire film, but does mute at no time, as has been said, a large Christian Bale, who writes a Batman for the remains, but he is the architect of the improvement of the tape with respect to the rather bland first delivery, and the Machiavellian plans of the Fool is the soul of the script and what , ultimately, provide the scientific construction almost all the gear, though, so contradictory, the Joker is the chaos and plan every step planned when, ironically, he himself said to act no more, and hates those who plan something. Perhaps one of the few and minor errors in the script, buried before the flood of emotions that are unleashed in the last half hour, reminding gauge tapes Godfather or Once Upon a Time in America , the final result simply marvelous, away from the coldness that often have this kind of movies so great and far from any improvisation. It seems that the script The Dark Knight, in a few years will be studied in schools as is done today with that of Godfather, Lawrence of Arabia , Citizen Kane, Network Casablanca or, as his brother Jonathan Nolan and simply get something unheard of for perfection with which embroider each sequence, the dialogue full of depth and the constant feeling that every word that being said, each frame we see, and every step that each character has been studied by a group of purists. As in the first half, the play ends with a great sequence showing the behavior of the mass to something unexpected, the fear that spreads like wildfire when something does not go as expected, and that something is the character Ledger. He brings chaos to a metropolis, a single person, as if a butterfly flapping it were, is able to change the course of the lives of several million people, which is why throughout the tape will not stop terrorist continually call , whose macabre game takes everyone, including Batman, the edge of chaos, achieving its purpose, the state of siege and almost almost martial law. It is perhaps time that the epic has reached its zenith, the whole house of cards has led to this point, the exact moment he wanted Nolan, one where placed facing the two world views, the natural evolution of the tape Begins born when that came about as the eccentricity of a guy with a lot of money and hateful at the end acquires its meaning and understanding by all that this has been done and should do to see corruption has led his opponent in the fight against this and Two-Face, the perfect knight of justice became a puppet led by a madman with war paint. The final catharsis beyond Bruce Wayne Batman, the assumption of responsibilities that asks the people, and the flight of the martyr in his eternal, thankless struggle of those who do not understand their task, wandering the dark path so that everything remains as before, where normal people Gotham refloating whoever beyond the actions of an anonymous person to outlaw whose actions can be misinterpreted, as happens with the wife of Gordon, or when the mob he criticizes the appearance of the Joker when he had before as the guardian of the city and good manners in a purely altruistic towards perhaps a new identity that circumvented once and for all Batman and allowing it to be individual rather than monster have a life beyond being a freak in the evening he plans to seek another freak, and have no regrets over losses have been caused by a decision from the heart without talking to the head, but for himself knows that his way, like the samurai, is marked and is to be alone forever, as decided when given the opportunity to change.
about three years ago when it opened in theaters Batman Begins, it seemed that the only superhero server that has been of interest ever return to the path of the track.
